Shiki Magata, a reclusive genius programmer, lives in a research facility on a remote island. Associate professor Souhei Saikawa and university student Moe Nishinosono occasionally visit her, but their interactions are limited due to her introverted nature. During one such visit, Saikawa and Moe get caught up in a locked-room murder investigation, forcing them to uncover the truth behind the crime and Magata's enigmatic past.
