The Mononoke Lecture Logs of Chuzenji-sensei takes place in Tokyo in 1948, shortly after World War II. Kanna Kusakabe, a second-year high school student, forms an unlikely bond with her new language teacher, Akihiko Chuzenji. Mysterious supernatural events have been occurring in Kanna's life, and she seeks Chuuzenji-sensei's help. He is often found waiting in the library prep room, where Kanna frequently goes for assistance.
