Ichika Usami, a cheerful teenager, has a passion for sweets inspired by her mother's baking. After her mother returns from overseas, Ichika tries to make a cake, but is interrupted by Pekorin, a dog-like fairy who helps her complete the cake. This encounter is soon followed by Gummy, an imp who attempts to steal the cake's magical kirakiraru, which gives sweets the ability to bring happiness. Ichika soon discovers she has the ability to transform into Cure Whip, a Pretty Cure, after the kirakiraru within her cake grows into a set of trinkets.
