Maria Oosawa, a photographer based in Shanghai, is partnered with Mino, searching for newsworthy stories in the city. Their investigation into a local festival leads them into a conflict between masked men and a white-haired woman. Just in time, Canaan intervenes, helping Maria escape the crossfire. Canaan soon finds herself at the center of a sinister plot involving a deadly virus, which forces her to confront her troubled past to stop the perpetrator and protect her friends.
