Yukito Kunisaki travels through towns performing puppet shows for a living, but a chance encounter with Misuzu in a small town leads him to put his search for the Winged Maiden on hold. He becomes close friends with the locals, learning about their struggles and deciding to help. As Yukito settles in, his bond with Misuzu deepens, and he starts to question whether the Winged Maiden is more than just a childhood legend. His search for the truth is momentarily set aside as he becomes an integral part of the community.
