Yu☆Gi☆Oh!

Yuugi Mutou is often bullied at school due to his frail and weak appearance. His childhood friend Anzu Mazaki frequently comes to his defense, but it's becoming clear that he can't rely on her protection forever. Yuugi's classmate Katsuya Jonouchi, who is often accompanied by his friend Hiroto Honda, typically causes more problems than benefits for Yuugi. Despite this, Yuugi still wishes for a genuine friend who truly understands him and won't betray him.

Yuugi's prized possession is a Millennium Puzzle, an ancient Egyptian relic his grandfather brought to his game shop. Believing solving the puzzle will bring him the true friend he desires, Yuugi completes it, unleashing the personality of the "King of Games" within him. This new personality, named Yami Yuugi, is a stark contrast to Yuugi's timid nature, possessing dark, twisted, and strong qualities.
