Miyako Hoshino, a college student, is generally quiet and reserved around others. She spends a lot of time in her room making cosplay outfits. Her life changes when her younger sister Hinata brings home Hana Shirosaki, a classmate. Miyako's initial attempts to connect with Hana, such as dressing her up in cosplay and giving her sweets, initially have a negative impact, but Miyako remains determined to build a relationship with Hana.
