Warlords of Sigrdrifa

The anime Warlords of Sigrdrifa takes place during an alien threat known as the Pillars, which pushes humanity to the edge of desperation. A figure named Odin presents the people with the power of Valkyries - skilled female pilots - who use vintage aircraft called Hero Wings. Claudia Bruford, a European Valkyrie, is sent to Japan to replace the S-class Valkyrie who died in battle, earning her the nickname "Grim Reaper" due to her history of being the sole survivor in missions with high casualty rates.
