However, after suffering an injury, Takahiro dropped out of the knight program and joined the begleiter program instead, leveraging his animal handling skills and jouster experience. His unique combination of abilities made him a sought-after candidate, with multiple girls in the school interested in him as a personal begleiter. Takahiro's friend Mio Kisaski eventually enlisted his help for a jousting duel after an unexpected accident, ultimately leading to Mio's enrollment in the annual tournament.
