Ulysses: Jeanne d'Arc and the Alchemist Knight

The series takes place in the 15th century during the Hundred Years' War between France and England, sparked by a dispute over the French throne. Montmorency, a noble's son, studies magic and alchemy at a royal knight training school before it's shut down after France's defeat at Agincourt. He becomes an alchemist and meets Jehanne, a village girl, who is somehow involved.
