Subaru Sumeragi, the 13th head of the Sumeragi Clan, is a skilled onmyouji with significant abilities. His latest exorcism job at a construction site is complicated by the mysterious death of his client, who leaves behind only a cryptic case. Subaru's investigation leads him to a man who appears to defy death, which sparks a confrontation with a young woman seeking revenge against the man, claiming he murdered her brother.
