Fushi, the immortal, has retreated to a remote island after witnessing numerous deaths and tragedies. However, the Nokkers, who had initially targeted Fushi, begin attacking settlements in an attempt to lure him out. This prompts the Guardians, led by Hisame, the descendant of the deceased warrior Hayase, to track Fushi down. The Guardians have gained significant recognition and a large following due to their earlier successes in protecting Janada Island with Fushi's help.
