After the Li Zhu Grotto-Heaven collapses, Chen Ping'an assumes the role of escorting Li Baoping and others to Great Sui to study, a perilous journey fraught with enemies and supernatural threats. Along the way, they receive assistance from A Liang, a skilled swordsman, and other influential individuals. As they travel extensively and engage in numerous battles, Chen Ping'an's abilities improve, and he comes to understand the significance of his responsibilities.
