The series follows Varvatos, a formerly all-powerful Demon Lord, who reincarnates into a modern world with his magical abilities calibrated to average human levels. He takes on the name Ard and finds himself in a situation where he's significantly overpowered compared to those around him. As a result, he receives attention from various individuals, including fawning ladies and a royal family offering him a position as their next king, but also faces opposition from an ex-minion seeking to kill him.
