Akino works as a saleswoman at the Hokkyoku Department Store, a luxury retail space catering to a unique clientele – animals, including extinct species. Customers like Mr. Woolly, a celebrated sculptor and mammoth, require demanding service, from rare merchandise to complex emotional needs. Akino's goal is to meet these expectations while navigating the challenges posed by her fussy floor manager Mr. Todo, a consultant looking to downsize the staff, and the enigmatic president.
