The Cockpit

The Cockpit is a collection of three separate anime films with unique storylines set during World War II.

The first film, Slipstream, focuses on a Luftwaffe pilot who's faced with a difficult decision: whether to safeguard Germany's last chance at winning the war by protecting a bomber carrying the world's first atomic bomb, or to allow it to be destroyed by enemy aircraft and potentially alter the course of history. His conflicting duties are complicated by the presence of a woman he loves on the plane.

In the second film, Sonic Boom Squadron, a young Ensign Nogami prepares to fulfill his duty as a "cherry blossom" - a suicide pilot - by piloting a human-controlled rocket-propelled flying bomb.

The third film, Knight of the Iron Dragon, centers around two soldiers who aim to reach an air base to fulfill a promise, despite the uncertainty and challenges that come with it in a war-torn environment.
