Kokona Ootori is a young actress aiming to become a World Dai Star, a prestigious title bestowed upon top performers in 20th-century musical theater. She fails multiple auditions but receives another chance to join the renowned Sirius theater troupe after encouragement from her friend Shizuka. Other talented girls, such as Kathrina Griebel from Germany, also seek this title, making the competition fierce. Kokona must work hard to improve her acting skills if she wants to stand out on stage.
