Steel Angel Kurumi 2 takes place 75 years after the first series and involves the Steel Angels in a new set of misadventures. Nako Kagura, a high school student and aspiring cellist, inadvertently becomes the master of Kurumi Mk. II after kissing her at home. This development attracts the jealousy of Nako's friend Uruka, who attempts to destroy Kurumi using her father's secret mecha.
