Loid Forger, a skilled spy, is on a mission to advance Operation Strix, which includes his adoptive daughter Anya becoming an Imperial Scholar at Eden Academy. To achieve this, Anya needs to earn sufficient Stella Stars, a challenge Loid is determined to help her overcome. During their time at Eden Academy, Loid discovers a cooking contest that awards a Stella Star to the winning student and decides to research the dessert to increase Anya's chances. The Forgers then travel to the Frigis region to taste authentic meremere, but their vacation turns into a complex situation when they unknowingly become entangled in a plot to escalate tensions between Ostania and Westalis.
