Shin Hakkenden
Shin Hakkenden is an adaptation of the Japanese novel Nanso Satomi Hakkenden by Bakin Kyokutei Takizawa. In a future setting, the eight moons of heaven, created by the savior Fuse, were the focus of a war. The Oowari family emerged victorious and gained control of most of the moons, but Meiten, the moon of the pope, remained independent due to its commitment to non-violence.
Eight individuals, each from a different moon, possess one of the eight jewels, which are essential elements of Earth. These jewels were obtained at great personal cost, and their bearers are determined to fulfill their duty to Queen Fuse. When the mad emperor Kai attempts to revive a ghost that seeks to thwart Earth's restoration, the eight must join forces to defeat their enemies and create a new Earth.
