Sentenced to Be a Hero

Xylo Forbartz, a former head of the Order of the Holy Knights, is sentenced to become a "Hero" as punishment for his past crimes, a fate worse than death. As part of the mandatory military service, he leads a penal unit of convicts on the front lines of the war against the Demon Lords. If killed in battle, Heroes are resurrected to fight another day, a constant reminder of their circumstances. Xylo's life takes a turn with the arrival of Teoritta, a powerful ally who could be the key to his survival and revenge against those who wronged him.
