Senryu Girl

Nanako Yukishiro is a 16-year-old student at Karai High School who communicates through senryuu, 17-syllable-long poems, due to her inability to speak. Her unique form of expression is a key aspect of her daily life, and she has found a kindred spirit in Eiji Busujima, a former delinquent who has since developed a passion for senryuu. A member of the school's Literature Club, Eiji and Nanako have formed a close bond despite their vastly different backgrounds. Their interactions, characterized by Nanako's poetic responses and Eiji's dry humor, provide a lighthearted look at the daily lives of two teenagers.
