Robot Girls Z Plus is a new series of six short anime episodes that continue the story of Team Z. The team is joined by reformed groups Team G, Team LOD, and Team Gou, as well as characters from the franchise's online game, in this new installment. The series draws inspiration from the classic Toei Manga Matsuri films, specifically Great Mazinger tai Getter Robo and its sequel Great Mazinger tai Getter Robo G - Kuuchuu Dai-Gekitotsu.
