Ganmo, a bird-like alien resembling a chicken in sneakers, comes to live with the Tsukuda family after hatching from an egg that Hanpeita's sister Tsukune returns home with. Initially, Ganmo tries to prove himself useful by running errands and cleaning, but his ineptitude only leads to chaos. As Ganmo attempts to clear his reputation, he inadvertently causes more confusion, drawing the attention of a charming neighbor's pet, Deja-vu, a foppish but poisonous-tongued mina. The Tsukuda household becomes increasingly chaotic as a result of Ganmo's well-meaning but botched attempts to help.
