The Black Cat Cafe in the fifth ward of the Imperial Capital now employs advanced mechanical dolls known as Automata, which have been restored and wear elegant kimonos. These Automata were created before the war and had fulfilled specific roles. They've struggled to adjust to their new purpose as cafe staff, as memories of their past responsibilities continue to resurface. One of these Automata is Haizakura, who's still trying to recall her identity after a memory reset.
