Pop Team Epic, also known as Poputepipikku, combines elements of pop culture and surreal humor. The show centers around two high school girls, Popuko and Pipimi, who are vastly different in temperament—Popuko is short and hot-headed, while Pipimi is tall and reserved. The series blurs the lines between various genres, incorporating elements of drama, action, and parody, all while aiming to subvert anime conventions.
