Persona 5 The Animation

Ren Amamiya transfers to Shujin Academy after being sent to Tokyo by his family friend Sojiro Sakura, due to being wrongly put on probation for defending a woman from assault. Upon arriving at school, Ren discovers a mysterious app on his phone that transports him to the Metaverse, where he encounters people's "shadows" – distorted representations of their true selves. With the help of fellow students, Ren forms the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, using their Personas to change people's sinful desires by taking their hearts and making them regret their actions. The group's actions lead to both positive and negative attention, but Ren's capture by authorities sparks a new sequence of events involving prosecutor Sae Niijima.
