Ninja Scroll: The Series

Kibagami Jubei, a masterless swordsman, continues to travel Japan fourteen years after defeating Himuro Genma and foiling the Shogun of the Dark's plans. He meets Shigure, a priestess from a remote village, after a group of demons destroys her home and kills everyone. Shigure, Dakuan, and a young thief named Tsubute journey to the village of Yagyu, where they become targets of two demon clans seeking the Dragon Jewel that Jubei recently acquired. Dakuan recruits Jubei to protect Shigure, who is believed to be the Priestess of Light.
