Dr. Azuma, a scientist who created advanced robots to aid humanity, saw his lab damaged in a thunderstorm, causing one of his robots, BK-1, to malfunction and become Braiking Boss, a rogue robot leader. He seeks to enslave humanity. Dr. Azuma's son, Tetsuya, is transformed into an indestructible android, Casshern, and joins forces with friends Luna and Friender to rescue his parents and counter Braiking Boss' army of robots.
