Nagasaki 1945 ~ The Angelus Bells

The anime is set in a converted theological seminary on the outskirts of Nagasaki in August 1945. A young doctor works to treat his patients while trying to come to terms with the devastating news of the Americans' use of a new weapon in Hiroshima. After the second nuclear bomb is dropped on Nagasaki, the hospital staff faces overwhelming challenges in their efforts to save lives amidst the catastrophic aftermath.
