My Master Has No Tail

Mameda, a young tanuki girl, travels to Osaka to continue her family's tradition of fooling humans, but her efforts fail and she's eventually forced to find refuge at a local theater. There, she witnesses a rakugo performance by Bunko Daikokutei, a master of the art, and becomes captivated by the storytelling style. Despite initial reluctance, Bunko agrees to take Mameda on as his apprentice, and she begins to learn the art form. As she juggles taiko practice, theater work, and memorizing plays, Mameda must dedicate herself to mastering rakugo if she hopes to succeed.
