Miyo Saimori's life with her fiancé Kiyoka Kudou is disrupted when Takaihito, the top contender for the imperial throne, sends Kiyoka on a mission to investigate reports of demons in a remote area. Miyo accompanies Kiyoka to his parents' household, where she struggles to win over his mother, Fuyu, who has not accepted her as family.
