Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse

The BETA invasion of Earth in 1973 led to widespread devastation, prompting humanity to develop Tactical Surface Fighters to defend its borders. Mankind's efforts to fend off the BETA, however, have been largely ineffective, forcing the abandonment of much of Eurasia. The Imperial Japanese military is struggling to create next-generation Tactical Surface Fighters in 2001, prompting the start of the Prominence Project, a joint development initiative with the US. Yui Takamura and Yuya Bridges, two surface pilots, are sent to Alaska to participate in this project.
