Mighty Space Miners

Mankind's space exploration in the mid-21st century has led to companies like Planet Catcher Corporation capturing asteroids and comets to mine their resources. Nanbu Ushiwaka, a 12-year-old boy born in space and the only survivor of his kind, resides on the asteroid Tortatis. The asteroid's colonists face a crisis when a military satellite's operation to capture Halley's Comet goes awry, causing a disaster. With their country and company abandoning them, Ushiwaka and the colonists must find a way to escape the asteroid's melting nuclear reactor before it's too late.
