Kouji Kabuto, a young hero who previously piloted the super robot "Mazinger Z," is now a scientist following in his family's footsteps, having defeated the evil Dr. Hell's Underground Empire ten years prior. The discovery of a new threat under Mt. Fuji forces Kouji to reassess his priorities and reunite with Mazinger Z to prevent catastrophic consequences for humanity.
