Maoyu ~ Archenemy & Hero

The war between humans and demons has been ongoing for 15 years. The Hero, dissatisfied with the slow progress in the Demon Realm, breaks away from his companions to reach the Demon Queen's castle quickly. Upon arrival, he discovers the Demon Queen is a woman of exceptional beauty and unexpectedly seeks his help. The Hero refuses to ally with her, arguing the war is devastating the Southern Nations. The Demon Queen counters, citing examples of how the war has unified humanity and brought them wealth, and warns that ending the war would cut off aid from the Central Nations, starving hundreds of thousands.
