Lycoris Recoil

Takina Inoue was a skilled Lycoris working for the syndicate Direct Attack (DA), which had significantly reduced terrorist acts in Japan through its "Lycoris" program for trained orphaned assassins. After being transferred to LycoReco, a front for a DA division, Takina meets her new partner Chisato Nishikigi, a Lycoris who approaches her duties in a surprisingly casual manner. Chisato's unconventional methods, which prioritize helping people over taking lives, leave Takina perplexed, particularly when Chisato disarms armed assailants without harming them. This contrasts with Takina's background in DA, where efficiency and lethality were paramount.
