The deadly virus known as "Medusa" spread globally, prompting the creation of a cold sleep procedure for a select few, including 16-year-old Kasumi, who was chosen for the program along with 159 others. Kasumi was placed in a Cold Sleep Capsule Center (CSCC) within an ancient castle, where she hoped to awaken with a cure for the virus that had infected her twin sister, Shizuku. Upon waking, Kasumi and the others found themselves in an unfamiliar environment, with the castle covered in thorns and infested with strange creatures. They soon realized they had been asleep for an unknown period and were left to unravel the mystery of the world's transformation.
