Key the Metal Idol

Tokiko Mima, known as Key, is a 17-year-old robot residing in the Japanese countryside, possessing a human-like appearance. After her grandfather's death, Dr. Murao Mima, Key is tasked with making 30,000 friends to become a real girl, as per her grandfather's dying message. Key moves to Tokyo, where she reunites with childhood friend Sakura Kuriyagawa and becomes fascinated with idol singer Miho Utsuse.
