Kaiju No. 8 Season 2

Kafka Hibino and Mina Ashiro were childhood friends who made a pact to join the Defense Force after their hometown was destroyed by colossal monsters known as "kaijuu." Decades later, Kafka, now 32, has given up on his dreams of heroism and cleans up kaijuu remains after battles. He's met by Reno Ichikawa, a young man eager to fight as a member of the Defense Force, and the two are soon involved in a confrontation with a rogue kaijuu. After demonstrating his heroic nature, Kafka gains the ability to transform into a humanoid kaijuu, becoming known as "Kaijuu No. 8," and joins forces with Reno to fight alongside Mina and other warriors in the Defense Force.
