Yuuta Okkotsu is haunted by the spirit of his childhood friend Rika, who died in a traffic accident. Since her death, Rika's ghost has manifested as a powerful and violent entity that fiercely protects Yuuta, often resulting in bloodshed. When apprehended by Jujutsu sorcerers, the secret guardians of the world, Yuuta is apprehended by master sorcerer Satoru Gojou, who enrolls him in Jujutsu High School to learn controlling Rika and help others. While learning Jujutsu arts alongside classmates Maki Zenin, Toge Inumaki, and Panda, Yuuta begins to find his place and develop his abilities, but soon discovers the Jujutsu world's dangers extend beyond malevolent spirits.
