Journal with Witch

Makio Koudai, a 35-year-old novelist, has an estranged relationship with her older sister Minori. When Minori and her husband die in a car accident, Makio is initially unaffected but is tasked with identifying their bodies. There, she reunites with her 15-year-old niece Asa Takumi, whom she hasn't seen in years. As Makio takes on the role of Asa's guardian, she introduces her to journaling as a way to cope with the loss of her parents, who had no other relatives willing to care for her.
