Shinichirou Asano's life is marked by misfortune, including being abandoned by his parents who moved to Europe. As a high school student, he struggles to make ends meet after being fired from his last job. His fortunes change when he's rescued by Sakuya Shimazu, a skilled student and member of a family of exorcists. After helping Sakuya recapture a nekomata, a two-tailed demon cat, he's recruited by the Shimazu family as a housekeeper due to his cooking and cleaning skills.
