Hakuoki ~Demon of the Fleeting Blossom~

Chizuru Yukimura, a young woman from 1864 Japan, travels to Kyoto searching for her missing father, Koudou, a doctor whose work has often taken him away from home. Disguising herself as a man to avoid attention, she witnesses a brutal murder by crazed white-haired men, which prompts the intervention of the Shinsengumi. Initially, the Shinsengumi's intentions towards Chizuru are unclear, but once she reveals her father's name, they decide to protect her, as they have been searching for him as well. This leads Chizuru into a complex web of conflict involving the Shinsengumi, their enemies, and the political tensions in Kyoto, which are tied to her father's connections with the Shinsengumi.
