Gundam Reconguista in G

The Regild Century 1014 setting marks a full millennium since the end of the Universal Century, a time when legendary mobile suit pilots like Amuro Ray and Char Aznable dominated the battlefield. Today, the Earth's surface is largely deserted, with humans opting for life in space colonies and on the moon instead. Student Bellri Zenam of the Capital Guard Academy finds his peaceful academic life upended by the capture of pirate pilot Aida Surugan and her mobile suit G-Self, which he unexpectedly discovers he can pilot. Bellri and Aida join the crew of the Amerian spaceship Megafauna and must navigate the rivalry between the Amerian Army and the Capital Guard, a faction with its own agenda and leaders including Colonel Kunpa Rushita and Captain Mask.
