Mana Aida, a middle schooler known for her kindness and enthusiasm, is on a school field trip with friends Rikka Hishikawa and Alice Yotsuba. However, their outing takes a drastic turn when otherworldly villains from the Trump Kingdom appear, summoning monsters from civilians' selfish desires. Mana discovers she has the ability to transform into a warrior, teaming up with a fairy named Sharuru to become Cure Heart, the Precure of Love, and joins forces with Cure Sword to battle the monsters.
