Fist of the Blue Sky: Regenesis takes place in Shanghai, where two mafia families have been locked in a deadly struggle for control. Amidst the chaos, a young girl named Erika loses her family and is taken in by Liu Fei-Yan, a skilled martial artist trying to protect her. However, each time Fei-Yan attempts to pass Erika on to someone else, her new guardians meet a tragic end. This ultimately leads Fei-Yan to seek out Guise, but their journey puts them in the path of a powerful fighter named Kenshiro Kasumi.
