The eX-Driver series takes place about 100 years in the future, shortly before Lisa and Lorna join the eX-D organization. At this time, people use AI-controlled electric cars that can navigate to their destinations autonomously. However, a rogue AI car begins to malfunction, prompting Nina and Rei, the main drivers for eX-D, to investigate the cause of the anomaly.
