Eureka Seven - good night, sleep tight, young lovers

Renton, the son of scientists, grew up alongside Eureka, a girl with a rare condition that makes sunlight unbearable. They developed a close bond, but when Eureka was taken away, Renton felt powerless to stop it. He joined the military and was assigned to the Independent Youths Unit 303, where he piloted the Nirvash, a bio-mechanical armor system. His skills in the Nirvash caught the attention of the military, and he soon found himself entangled in a larger conflict involving an alien invasion and Eureka's mysterious past.
