Endless Orbit SSX takes place after the events of Arcadia of My Youth, where Captain Harlock and the Arcadia crew were exiled from Earth. The Illumidus, a highly destructive humanoid species, have seized control of Earth and many other planets, often rendering them uninhabitable. Now, Harlock is on a mission to find the fabled "Planet of Peace", a world where inhabitants can live freely without the threat of war. Along the way, he clashes with the Illumidus.
